This special issue was organized by inviting editors, Professors Aline Albuquerque and Victor Grabois. It addresses the legal-health aspects of patient safety, one of the most important issues in health and law. We hope to contribute to raising awareness about patient safety and highlight the importance of minimizing risk and improving the quality of health care provided both by public or private entities.
