CIADS - 2024 Review

Dear readers,

We are closing 2024 with a feeling of deep gratitude and fulfillment. This was a remarkable year for the Ibero-American Journals of Health Law – CIADS, full of editorial advances, new partnerships and important contributions to the field of Health Law:

- commitment to internationalization by publishing all articles from 2024 in English and in their original language, at no additional cost to the author;
- XML markup of all CIADS articles, improving indexing and increasing the visibility of published works;
- international collaboration on the final edition (v.13 n.4), which included debates from the International Congress of Health Law in Granada, Spain, involving researchers from Brazil, Spain, Italy and Chile;
- admission of new members to the Scientific Editorial Board: professors José Maria Porras Ramírez and Francisco Miguel Bombillar Sáenz, both from the University of Granada;
- inclusion of CIADS in 7 (seven) new international indexers, further expanding its visibility: 1) Open Alex; 2) MIAR (Information Matrix for Journal Analysis); 3) ZDB – Zeitschriftendatenbank; 4) FatCat; 5) SUDOC - Agence bibliographique de l'enseignement supérieur; 6) EZB - Electronic Journals Library and; 7) Academic Resource Index – ResearchBib;
- new update of OJS (Open Journal Systems) – version 3.4.0.4, which ensures greater efficiency and security in the management of the journal and;
- structural change in the layout of the website, making it more modern, functional and accessible for our readers and authors.

We also celebrate the creation of our Instagram profile in April 2024 (@ciads_direitosanitario) and, on this same channel, we started a new way of scientific dissemination of articles called “article in focus”. These actions allowed us to strengthen our engagement with our readers, share relevant content and expand the reach of our publications.

Looking back, 2024 was a year of consolidation, expansion and innovation, which would not have been possible without the collaboration and engagement of each and every one of you.

Therefore, while we thank the authors, reviewers, editors and readers, we ask that you continue to support us by following us on Instagram, submitting your research results to CIADS and recommending our journal to your academic and professional networks.

May 2025 bring us even more opportunities to build bridges between research, practice and public health policies. We wish everyone an excellent end of the year and an inspiring reading of the CIADS editions!

Sincerely,
Professor Dr. Sandra Mara Campos Alves
