The right to health, constitutionally guaranteed and implemented through the Unified Health System (SUS), faces significant challenges in a context marked by regional inequalities, access barriers, and the need for continuous improvement of institutional practices. Aware of their essential role in defending the rights of vulnerable populations, the Public Defender’s Offices of the Union and the states have taken on a leading role in the realization of this fundamental right.
In this context, the journal invites researchers, legal and health professionals, public defenders, and other interested parties to submit papers that explore the dimensions of the Public Defender’s role in health, prioritizing the thematic axes outlined below:
THEMATIC AXES-
Interinstitutional dialogues and health: Public Defender’s Office, Public Prosecutor’s Office, and the Justice System;
-
Extrajudicial actions of the Public Defender’s Offices and administrative resolution of health-related conflicts;
