1. Long-Term Digital Preservation
- Cadernos Ibero-Americanos de Direito Sanitário (CIADS) adopts long-term digital preservation strategies with the aim of ensuring the integrity, security, authenticity, and continuous access to the published content.
- The journal uses the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN), a service that digitally preserves content through a distributed network based on the LOCKSS system (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe), ensuring the replication and restoration of published files even in the event of interruptions or system failures.
- CIADS is part of the Rede Brasileira de Serviços de Preservação Digital – Cariniana, coordinated by the Instituto Brasileiro de Informação em Ciência e Tecnologia (IBICT), strengthening national strategies for the preservation of scientific journals in digital environments.
2. Interoperability and Metadata Dissemination
- In addition to digital preservation actions, CIADS implements the OAI-PMH (Open Archives Initiative Protocol for Metadata Harvesting), which enables the collection, dissemination, and interoperability of its metadata by indexing systems, institutional repositories, and scientific information services, increasing the visibility and circulation of scientific production.
