Abstract

The relationship between democracy, social participation and health has always been closely linked to the achievements and progress around this right. In 2022, it has been possible to observe a situation that has strengthened democratic practices and opened a window of opportunity aimed at giving participation a prominent place: as an ethical and political value of Brazilian society, as a prerequisite for the democratic system, and as a driver of important advances in the health sector.
