Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has challenged specialists and governments to find public health measures that bring solutions and reduce deaths. This article discusses the impact of mass testing as a social protection measure and to evaluate its implementation in Brazil, in the control of COVID-19, especially when combined with the isolation of cases and the quarantine of contacts. Mass testing is recommended for tracking the disease and ensuring the sustainability of these measures.
